What are the characteristics that define and distinguish AIAKOS?
Specialization
We possess demonstrably high expertise and scientific competence in the subject matter of every educational program. The scientific supervisors, quality auditors, and instructors involved hold doctoral and postgraduate degrees, and in most cases have conducted applied research and produced academic publications.
Experience
The professionals involved in the design, quality assurance, and implementation of our educational programs bring not only theoretical and research‑based knowledge. They also have significant experience in positions of responsibility within organizations and ministries, as well as across all levels of education—secondary and higher education, as well as post‑secondary vocational education and training.
Quality
We select only the best collaborators based on strict criteria. Only those with the required qualifications to be registered in our Scientific Registry may assume roles in the design, coordination, and implementation of educational programs. Quality assurance is carried out by the Central Scientific Council and the Scientific Committees.
Credibility
In addition to the above, we maintain officially recognized publishing activity. To date, we have published approximately 180 educational books and academic texts written by experts in education, while our quarterly scientific journal “Educational Horizons” represents a unique initiative in our country.
Our Network
As the AIAKOS network of collaborating educational structures now includes around 60 Lifelong Learning Centers (KDBM) across Greece—and continues to grow—our study programs benefit not only from AIAKOS personnel but also from the valuable contributions of our KDBM partners, who are experienced education professionals and highly specialized scientists.
This means we collectively hold vast experience and expertise—essentially operating as a “think tank.”
Additionally, our partners throughout Greece allow us to offer our educational programs in every region of the country, ensuring equal opportunities for professional development for all learners.
