Kostas Papachristos is currently Director of Primary Education in Eastern Attica
He was the Coordinator of Educational Project (SEE) in the Regional Directorate of Primary and Secondary Education of Attica.
He was Head of the Directorate of Primary Education Studies of the Ministry of Education and Religious Affairs (2010-2015).
Secretary-General of I.P.E.M-D.O.E (1997-99), Vice-President of the Research Centre for Equality Issues (K.E.TH.I) (2001-04) and President of the Panhellenic Union of School Consultants (P.E.S.S.) (2006-2010).
He is a member of Human Rights and Intercultural Education and Communication Organizations.
Member of the eTwinning Central Committee (2014-15)
Certified Training in ICT Level 1 & 2.
Certification in the ‘Training of Continuing Vocational Training Trainers’, EKEPIS – Ministry of Education and Religious Affairs Employment & Social Protection (2004 to date)
Certification of Scientific and Guidance Competence. EKDDA – INEP
He has taught at the P.T.D.E. of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, at the Marasleio School of Primary Education (M.D.D.E.) of the University of Athens, in Departments of Professional and Academic Upgrading of Teachers (assimilation), in European Programs concerning the Training of Teachers, in Regional Training Centers (P.E.K.), Trainer in the "Major Educational Program" and in Programs of the University of Athens and in Programs of OPEK, Trainer in K.E.K., Trainer in EKDDA-IN.EP., Educational Programs of Universities, etc.
Today he teaches at:
- The KEDIVIM-NKUA Intercultural Education Programme.
- Postgraduate Programme: ‘Educational Policy & Management’, PPP-NKUA (2016-2018) – Responsible for the Internship.
- Program of KEMEPSE - P.T.D.E. of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens "Intercultural Education and Teacher Intercultural Readiness" (2014-2018).
- In the EKDDA: Management of educational units – education policy – Programming in Education (2014-2018).
He has participated in numerous conferences as a speaker, but also as an organizer.
He is the author of books on intercultural education.
